Eleven players from Glencoe High and four from Westbrook were named to the 2014 Class 3A, All-Region Region 6 All-Region football team.

All-Etowah County volleyball team announced

Southside High placed four players on the 2014 Etowah All-County Volleyball Team, including MVP and senior Cassie Davis. 

Joining Thompson from the county tournament champion Lady Panthers were seniors Jada Thompson and Claire Graves and sophomore Savanna Yancy.

Representing county runnerup West End were seniors Brittany Self and Kaitlyn Waldrop and junior Hannah Carter.

All-Etowah County football team announced

Class 3A state semifinalist Glencoe is well represented on the 2014 All-Etowah County football team with 12 players selected. 

Glencoe senior quarterback Dylan Stone was named Most Valuable Player after finishing with a combined 3,000 offensive yards and 40 touchdowns. Stone rushed for 1,982 yards and 27 TDs and threw for another 1,134 yards and 10 scores to lead
