On the first Saturday of every month, Gadsden Regional’s Women’s & Children’s department will conduct free childbirth classes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Gadsden Regional Room of Building 500 on the GRMC campus. The classes include sessions on infant care with pediatricians; a presentation by Success By 6 on infant and child development; sessions about pain control/epidurals, labor and delivery, and the post-partum period; information on breast feeding from a lactation consultant; and a tour of the hospital’s Women’s & Children’s unit. 15 Downtown Gadsden Inc. will close the Memorial Bridge in Gadsden from 5:30-7:30 p.m for the second annual Sunset Sips fundraising event. Memorial Bridge is the perfectly unique venue for a night full of fun with friends over the Coosa River watching the sunset. Hors d’oeuvres will be provided by the Fish Market and Back Forty Beer Company. The Stone Market will provide beverages and Frios Gourmet Pops will provide tasty treats.
