Representatives from the Gadsden Job Corps Center had the distinct honor of meeting with Alabama Governor Robert Bentley this week in his office at the State Capitol Building in Montgomery.  GJCC Business Community Liaison Tom Sanders obtained the meeting with the help of Blaine Galliher of the Governor’s staff.  In attendance at the meeting were the GJCC SGA Officers, Peer Leadership Coordinator Autley McKenzie, and BCL Sanders along with Alabama State Senator Phil Williams from Rainbow City.  During the visit GJCC staff and students spoke with the Governor about the success of the Gadsden Center and the overall importance of the Job Corps program nationwide which prepares youth to enter the workforce with the necessary academic, technical training, and career-readiness skills to be successful.
