Messenger Community Calendar for July-August

Every Thursday during the month of July, several downtown merchants will have extended hours to introduce a new event, The Downtown Gadsden Gallery Hop. The official hours are from 5-9 p.m., however closing times may vary depending on the participating merchants. The Gallery Hop is an event to celebrate art and enjoy an evening of sights, sounds, food and shopping. Each participating merchant will be host to an artist. At each hop you will find a new exciting exhibit in a non-traditional art venue. The artist will have their very own “mini gallery.” You can visit as many or as few as you would like. Each week expect to experience something new and unique in art and culture. Admission to each hop is free! We want this to become an event to support not only our downtown merchants, but local artists as well.
