Warriors lend a hand in Westbrook Work-a-Thon

Westbrook placed an emphasis last week on the “Christian” part of the school’s title.

For the eighth year in a row, nearly 1,000 Warriors from kindergarten through grade 12 participatd in the school’s Work-a-Thon fundraiser.

GPL’s Scott to serve on state board

Gadsden Public Library director of adult services Craig Scott soon will have a direct impact in which books will or won’t be available for public library consumption throughout the state.

Anyone familiar with the history of Glencoe Yellow Jacket football is familiar with the name “Lett.”  Ed, Kenneth and Gary were popular athletes at Glencoe High School during the 1960’s, 70’s and 80’s. The boys’ father, Dr. M.G. Lett, served on the sidelines as the Yellow Jackets’ team doctor for over 50 years.
