Sheriff’s Office hosts Student Leadership Academy

A group of 22 high school seniors got a unique opportunity to learn leadership skills that could last them a lifetime, and perhaps encourage them to devote a life to law enforcement.

Hokes Bluff takes control of ferry landing property

The Etowah County Commission backtracked on plans to sell the Hokes Bluff Ferry landing property – with good reason. After consulting with Hokes Bluff officials, the commission rescinded a resolution to sell the property and instead will turn it over to the City of Hokes Bluff.
