Haas helps Hokes Bluff advance to county tournament finals

Hokes Bluff’s Isaac Haas has accomplished a lot as a high school basketball player.
The senior center wants to add one more thing to his resume – an Etowah County High School Basketball Tournament champion.
Thanks to his play, Haas and his Eagle teammates will get a chance to do just that on Friday.

Shields leads the way in Lady Eagles win over Sardis

For the second year in a row, Hokes Bluff will be playing for the girls’ county championship.
Also for the second time in as many years, Carlie Shields is the reason why.
Sardis did not have an answer for Shields, as the senior guard led the top-seeded Eagles past the Lions, 45-32, in the semifinals
