The LACS to bring ‘hick hop’ to Riverfest

Riverfest 2014 will bring “hick hop” to Gadsden with the LACS, a southern rap duo from Baxley, Ga.
The LACS will take the Riverfest stage at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 14.
The LACS consist of hip hop artist Clay “Uncle Snap” Sharpe and lead vocalist/guitarist Brian “Rooster” King.
With their blue collar backgrounds, they have worked all types of jobs and framed
New Boys and Girls Club will host Open House on Feb. 13

Last year, the Boys and Girls Club units in Gadsden shut down because of financial difficulties.
But the club, which has helped so many young people make successful stand in school and in their communities was not down for long.
A new Boys and Girls Club of Gadsden/Etowah reopened on Dec. 23, in the old Cory Middle School building
