Bobby Junkins grants the 1,000th adoption for Lifeline Children’s Services, an adoption agency with offices in several states as well as Gadsden and Birmingham. 

The adoptive mom was adopted through Lifeline thirty-one years ago and is the first Lifeline adoptee to return as an adoptive parent.

My cousin, Sylvia Stewart, was a well-known teacher of dance in Gadsden, but she was also a wonderful cook. One of my favorite dishes that she prepared was her delicious strawberry salad.
