Panthers fall to Oxford in 6A debut

Oxford pulled out a couple more big plays than did Southside on Thursday.

SEC West

Gadsden’s Adkison inducted into Central Alabama softball hall of fame

Gadsden resident Pat Adkison was inducted into the Central Alabama Softball Association 2014 Hall of Fame on Aug. 16 in Birmingham. 

Adkison’s softball career began in 1952 as a player. He started with fast pitch in Samson as a catcher and later played fast pitch in Tuscaloosa.

Lloyd Wagnon and the early Noble family

The Vagabond recently spoke with Lloyd Wagnon, who manages to still keep a busy life.
