Auburn Week 10 Review
During Auburn’s back-and-forth game against Ole Miss last week, it became apparent that whichever defense came up with a stop or turnover late ultimately would win. Auburn had already forced a Bo Wallace fumble inside the 10-yard line, but the Rebels were driving again down 35-31. Rebel receiver LaQuon Treadwell caught a short pass and headed for the end zone, but he was caught from behind by Auburn linebacker Kris Frost. Treadwell fumbled the ball and Auburn recovered in the end zone, but Treadwell’s injury on the play was even more devastating for Rebel fans. The Rebels were literally inches away from taking the lead and staying in the hunt for national title, and now those dreams have permanently faded away. It was a heartbreaking way to lose, but it was even more upsetting to see a player as talented as Treadwell suffer that kind of injury. Hopefully, Treadwell makes a full recovery from the lower leg injury and he’s back on the field next season. With the win, Auburn improved to 7-1 on the season and 4-1 in league play. The Tigers return home to take on Texas A&M this Saturday (Nov. 8).

Week 11 Previews and Predictions
(Week 10: 5-2; Season: 68-13)
Saturday, November 8
Georgia at Kentucky (+10). Entering the game against Florida, Georgia was in control of its own fate in the SEC East. However, the Gators dominated the Bulldogs and now the Athens squad needs help to win the SEC East. A win over Kentucky would be a nice start, and Georgia cannot afford to overlook the Wildcats. Prediction: Georgia 34, Kentucky 23.
Presbyterian at Ole Miss. After back-to-back excruciating losses, the Rebels finally get an easy win this week. Following this game, Ole Miss has a bye week before closing the season with games against Arkansas and Mississippi State. Prediction: Ole Miss 52, Presbyterian 3.
Texas A&M at Auburn (-21.5). The Tigers keep finding ways to win games. After two consecutive narrow victories, it’s time Auburn proves it can dominate a game from start to finish. The Aggies are reeling, and this is the perfect opportunity for the Tigers. Prediction: Auburn 52, Texas A&M 20.
Tennessee-Martin at Mississippi State. The top-ranked team in country gets a pseudo bye week before a huge matchup next weekend against Alabama. Prediction: Mississippi State 51, Tennessee-Martin 9.
Florida at Vanderbilt (+14.5). Was the win over Georgia enough to save Will Muschamp’s job? It remains to be seen, but if Florida can beat Vandy and South Carolina, it might have a chance to win the SEC East. The Gators were impressive running the football against the Bulldogs, and likely will need that success to continue on the road against the Commodores. Prediction: Florida 27, Vanderbilt 17.
Game of the Week
Alabama at LSU (+6.5). These two teams have played some memorable games the last few years. Since Nick Saban took the job at Alabama, the rivalry has escalated even further. Whenever the Tigers and the Crimson Tide meet, it usually results in a physical and defensive battle, with the winner having a good chance of winning the SEC West. Alabama has the better team this year, but winning a night game in Baton Rouge is one of the toughest things to accomplish in college football. If Alabama can get out to an early lead, it will be a long night for the home team. Prediction: Alabama 34, LSU 13.
