Etowah County Farmer’s Federation and Eto-wah County Soil and Water Conservation District held their annual Farm City Poster contest recently.
The contest is open to all kindergarten through sixth grade students in Etowah. The theme was “Agriculture: 365 Sunrises and 7 Billion Mouths to Feed”.
First place winner in the K-3 division was Ellie Clevenger, second grade student of Holly Knowlton at Southside Elementary School. Second place winner in the K -3 division was Ava Nicholson, second grade student of Kim Gray at Attalla Elementary School. Third place winner in the K-3 division was Jazynn Potter, second grade student of Melissa Higdon at Attalla Elementary School.
In the 4th – 6th grade division, first place winner was Jada Hill, fourth grade student of Angie Putman at Carlisle Elementary School. The se-cond place winner was Mallory Klaire Wallace, fourth grade student of Tim Womack at Glencoe Elementary School.

Third place winner was Sadie Riles, fourth grade student of Tim Womack at Glencoe Elementary School.
First place winners received $200; second place winners received $100; third place winners received $75. Their teachers each received the same amount for classroom use. First place winners from Etowah County will compete with first place winners from the other Alabama counties in April.
