Sheriff’s Motorcycle Unit gains new employee

The Etowah County Sheriff’s Motorcycle Unit recently gained a new member.
Last week Deputy Blake Perry completed and passed an 80 hour training class. The class took two weeks, and featured 10 days of eight hour classes.

Health Department to hold Prenatal Resource Fair

The Etowah County Health Department is hosting a Prenatal Resource Fair on August 26 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m.
The purpose of the event is to provide local pregnant women and families with an opportunity to learn about community resources available to them and young children.

“The Art of Andy Warhol” exhibit at the Mary G. Hardin Center for Cultural Arts begins tomorrow, August 15, and will end November 15.
Admission will be $8, but is free to Hardin Center members.
