Coosa Christian shoots down Purple Devils

Lady Conquerors clip Ragland

The Coosa Christian girls basketball team didn’t disappoint its upperclassmen on Senior Night, as the Lady Conquerors posted a 52-35 win over Ragland on Tuesday (Jan. 26) in Gadsden.

Although the hosts maintained the lead from early in the first quarter, the Lady Purple Devils pulled within single digits with 3:38 left in the third quarter. 

Blue Devils beat Guntersville to set up coin flip

Emil Smith poured in 19 points to lead Etowah to a 68-59 win over Guntersville on Tuesday (Jan. 26) in Attalla.

The victory set up a coin toss to determine which school will host the upcoming Class 5A, Area 13 Tournament.

Lady Blue Devils fall to Guntersville

Jordyn Garmon scored a game-high 10 points to lead Guntersville to a 40-30 victory over Etowah in Class 5A, Area  13 girls basketball on Tuesday (Jan. 26) in Attalla.

The Lady Wildcats raced out to a 7-1 lead after one quarter but the Lady Blue Devils held a 19-15 lead at halftime.
