McKinney’s last-second basket sends Gadsden City to Class 7A regional finals

As they sat down at the table for postgame interviews following the Titans’ 56-54 win over Mountain Brook in the Northeast Regional Tournament semifinals, Gadsden City High coach Reginald Huff told Shond Kidd-McKinney, “You finally got warmed up.”

Alabama drastically improved its NCAA Tournament chances with two road wins last week. The Crimson Tide knocked off Florida, 61-55, in Gainesville and defeated LSU, 76-69, in Baton Rouge.
