Etowah High trio signs football scholarships

For the first time in Drew Noles’ three seasons as head football coach at Etowah High, the Blue Devils are sending not just one, but three players (and possibly more) to college programs. 

Noles stated that there are a few more athletes who are still being looked at for possible future signing as the colleges

Titans’ Martin signs with West Alabama

As the daughter and granddaughter of soccer coaches, Bailee Martin was very likely practicing corner kicks before she learned how to tie her shoelaces. 

That early exposure to the sport paid off handsomely for the Gadsden City High senior on Monday (Feb. 1) when she signed a scholarship with the University of West Alabama in Livingston.

Local teams compete at state bowling tournament

Several local high school teams competed in the Alabama High School Athletic Association state bowling tournament on Jan. 28 and 29 at Oak Mountain Lanes in Pelham.
