Westbrook Christian lost to Walter Wellborn, 20-7, in a Class 3A, Region 6 game on Friday (Oct. 2) in Anniston.
The Warriors’ lone score came on Joseph Schauer’s 6-yard touchdown pass in the late in the fourth quarter.
Westbrook (2-4, 2-2) continues region play this Friday (Oct. 9) at home against Weaver.
Grayson Wakefield gained 91 yards on just four carries, including three runs of 20 or more yards and two scores to help power Decatur Heritage to a 58-14 win over Coosa Christian last Friday (Oct. 2) in Gadsden.
Houston Ratliff led the Conquerors (0-6, 0-3) with eight carries for 51 yards and a touchdown.
Coosa resumes Class 1A, Region 7 play this Friday (Oct. 9) at Cedar Bluff.
