Lady Jackets at 2-1 on the season

Glencoe went 2-1 earlier this week to open its season.
On August 19, The Lady Yellow Jackets fell to Walter Wellborn, 23-25, 25-17, 13-15 and defeated Faith Christian, 25-9, 25-21. Against Wellborn for Glencoe, Bre Beyerle (pictured above at left) had 10 kills, seven assists, four digs and three blocks; Hailey Hanners had four kills, five aces, three digs and two blocks; Abi Bunt had 12 assists and three digs; Madalyn Amberson had eight digs and three kills; and Kinslee Gray had eight digs. Against Faith, Beyerle had six assist and five kills; Hanners had three kills and two digs; Bunt had nine assists and two digs; Amberson had three kills and three aces; and Gray had four digs and two aces.
Last Tuesday (Aug. 24), the Lady Yellow Jackets beat St. Clair County, 25-15, 25-16, 25-19. Beyerle had 11 assists, 10 kills and five blocks; Hanners had six kills; Bunt had 15 assists; Amberson had five kills and five digs; and Gray had eight digs.
