Gadsden City, Glencoe, Etowah girls advance to subregionals

Gadsden City fell to Oxford, 47-37, in the Class 6A, Area 13 Tournament girls championship game on Thursday, Feb. 9 at GCHS. The Lady Titans (18-11) will travel in the subregional playoffs on Monday, Feb. 13.

Etowah lost to Oneonta, 45-39, in the Class 4A, Area 11 Tournament girls championship game on Thursday, Feb. 9 at Oneonta. The Lady Blue Devils Etowah (11-18) will travel in the subregional playoffs on Monday, Feb. 13. Etowah edged Hanceville, 52-50, in the tournament semifinals on Monday, Feb. 6.

Glencoe lost to Ohatchee, 71-56, in the championship game of the Class 3A, Area 12 Tournament on Wednesday, Feb. 8 at Ohatchee. The Lady Yellow Jackets will travel in the subregional playoffs on Tuesday, Feb. 14. Glencoe defeated Westbrook Christian, 68-40, in the tournament semifinals on Monday, Feb. 6.

Hokes Bluff lost to Ohatchee, 67-40, in the semifinals of the Class 3A, Area 12 Girls Tournament on Monday, Feb. 6 at Ohatchee.

Ashville lost to Oneonta, 48-26, in the semifinals of the Class 4A, Area 11 Girls Tournament on Monday, Feb. 6 at Oneonta.

Coosa Christian fell to Spring Garden, 72-16, in the Class 1A Area 12 Tournament girls semifinals on Tuesday, Feb. 7 at Spring Garden. In the tournament quarterfinals on Feb. 6, the Lady Conquerors defeated Gaylesville, 47-36.

Gaston lost to Sand Rock, 77-34, in the semifinals of the Class 2A, Area 12 Girls Tournament on Tues., Feb. 7 at Sand Rock.

West End lost to Decatur Heritage, 56-30, in the semifinals of the Class 2A Area 13 Girls Tournament on Monday, Feb. 6 in Decatur.
