If things go as they have been of late, look for Coosa Christian High to play a great defensive game this week.

“One week, our defense plays lights-out and the next, our offense plays great,” Conquerors coach Scott Clifton said. “We haven’t played a complete game yet. I think a large part of it is that we’re still trying to learn how to win.”

Even though Coosa scored 48 points last week, there were several drives that ended in fumbles or other problems.

Now comes Woodville, another team that has had its share of difficulties.

“They run the Wing-T and they have three or four plays that they run really well,” Clifton said. “To stop them, we have to play assignment football – but we sometimes forget our assignments. That’s when we get in trouble.”

Last week against JCA, Johnny Grizzard scored a pair of touchdowns.
