Glencoe trio recognized

Three Glencoe High football players were nominated for both the Alabama Sports Writers Association and Alabama High School Athletic Association Prep Spotlight Offensive/Defensive Player of the Week awards for the week of Nov. 21.

Senior halfback Thomas Ozmint gained 203 yards and scored four touchdowns on 23 attempts, senior quarterback Dylan Stone rushed 16 times for 194 yards and three touchdowns and senior defensive end Chance Duncan had eight tackles, three sacks and blocked an extra point in the Yellow Jackets’ 49-19 victory over Colbert County in the third round of the Class 3A state playoffs.
