Southside 7, Sylvania 5
Southside rallied past Sylvania, 7-5, last Wednesday (Mar. 29) at the Gulf Shores Classic. With the Lady Panthers trailing 5-4 in the bottom of the fifth, Jasie Brooks stroked an RBI double, while Rylann Shaw scored later scored off an error with the winning run. Lauren McKee’s base hit scored Brooks later in the inning for the final margin. Brooks went 2-for-3 with three RBI and a run scored; Peyton Burrell (pictured above at right) went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored; Jovi Marble went 2-for-3 with a run scored; and Maddie Griffith had a hit, two RBI and two runs scored. Paxton Huddleston earned the win, scattering five hits, three earned runs and three walks while fanning one.

Sardis 10, McAdory 6
Kayden Tarvin took care of business with her bat and on the mound in Sardis’ 10-6 five-inning victory over McAdory last Wednesday (Mar. 29) at the Gulf Shores Classic. As the winning pitcher, Tarvin scattered five hits, two walks and one earned run while striking out four. At the plate, she went 3-for-3 with a home run, a double, three RBI and a run scored. Also for the Lady Lions (9-8), Hannah Hill had a three-run home run; Maddie Harris had a home run, an RBI and a run scored; Jayda lacks had an RBI double and a run scored; and Vada Wilmore had a hit, an RBI and a run scored.

Southside 10, Coffee County Central 4
Southside scored four runs in both the second and fourth innings on the way to a 10-4 victory over Coffee County Central (Tenn.) last Monday (Mar. 27) at the Gulf Shores Classic. For the Lady Panthers (14-10), Rylann Shaw went 2-for-3 with a home run, an RBI and two runs scored; Jalyn Allen went 2-for-3 with a double, three RBI and a run scored; Peyton Burrell went 2-for-4 with two runs scored; and Ava Ramsey and Kadey Barbe each had a hit, an RBI and a run scored.

Glencoe 10, Boscobel 0
Behind a three-hit shutout effort by winning pitcher Summer Crump, Glencoe defeated Boscobel (Wisc.) 10-0 last Monday (Mar. 27) at the Gulf Shores Classic. In seven innings, Crump did not allow a run or a walk while striking out four. She helped her cause with a two-RBI base hit and a run scored. Also for the Lady Yellow Jackets, Sadie Waldrop went 2-for-3 with two runs scored; Jaxson Size had a two-RBI triple and Hailey Hanners had a two-RBI double.

Sardis 7, Rehobeth 3
Jayda Lacks went 3-for-3 with a pair of home runs to lead Sardis past Rehobeth, 7-3 last Monday (Mar. 27) at the Gulf Shores Classic. Lacks drove in five runs and scored another two. Maddie Harris had an RBI double for the Lady Lions, while Annah Kate Waldrep had a hit, an RBI and a run scored.

Hokes Bluff 7, Fairview 6
Hokes Bluff edged Fairview, 7-6, in three innings last Monday (Mar. 27) at the Gulf Shores Classic. For the Lady Eagles, Abby Payne went 2-for-2 with three RBI and a run scored; Ava Dodd had a hit and two RBI and Hayden Wolfe had a hit and two runs scored.

Ashville 6, DAR 3
Ashville defeated DAR, 6-3, last Saturday (Mar. 25). For the Lady Bulldogs, Lexi St. John went 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored; Annalynn Williamson went 3-for-3 with two doubles; Gracie Click went 2-for-2 with a run scored; Brooklyn Mikus went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored; Ainsley Brashier had a home run, and RBI and two runs scored; and Jayda Burgess had a two-RBI double. Winning pitcher Hannah DeWeese scattered seven hits and two earned runs in five innings. She did not issue a walk.
