Ashville fades in second half against Southeastern

Southeastern outscored Ashville 19-0 in the second half to send the Bulldogs to a 41-19 defeat
on August 27 at AHS.
After the Mustangs took a 14-0 lead after one quarter, Ashville drew within 14-13 on respective rushing touchdowns from Jalen Williams and Dylan Harris (pictured above). Harris’ 16-yard touchdown pass to Williams closed the gap to 22-19 in the final minute of the first half, but the Bulldogs would not score again.
Harris ran for 80 yards on 15 carries, while Williams rush nine times for 55 yards.
Chandler McGinnis had seven tackles, followed by Harris, Cole Hyatt and Ashton Mostella with six each.
Ashville opens its region schedule this Friday (Sept. 3) at Good Hope.
