Blue Devils shut out Ashville

Etowah had little difficulty in registering its first Class 5A, Region 6 victory of the season on September 2 in Attalla.
Senior quarterback Trace Thompson threw for 300 yards and five touchdowns in the first half as the Blue Devils (2-1, 1-0) cruised to a 42-0 win at James Glover Field in Attalla.
Omareon Finch, who caught four of the above TD passes, finished with eight catches for 215 yards. Devante Shannon and Lamont Richardson also scored touchdowns for Etowah.
Both teams continue region play this Friday (Sept. 9). Etowah travels to Fultondale, while
Ashville (1-2, 0-1) hosts Hanceville.
