Etowah jumped out to a 21-0 lead en route to a 28-0 victory over Class 4A, Region 6 rival Ashville on September 17 at AHS.
The Blue Devils (3-1, 3-0) generated 244 yards of offense while holding the Bulldogs (1-4, 0-3) to 99.
For Etowah, Briggs Freeman rushed for 101 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries. Josh Hendrix added 63 yards on 11 attempts. Trace Thompson was 3 for 8 in passing for 63 yards while rushing for another 33 yards.
For Ashville, Dylan Harris competed 2 of 9 passes for 55 yards. Ethan Richardson had seven tackles, followed by Harris with six and Cole Hyatt and Trevor Horsley with five each.
Etowah hosts Fort Payne this Friday (Sept. 23), while Ashville visits St. Clair County.
