Cardinal runners compete in ACCC meet

Three members of the Gadsden State cross country team finished in the top 20 at the Alabama Community College Conference/Region XXII Meet on Oct 25 at the John Hunt Running Park
In Huntsville.
In the women’s 5K race, 2024 West End High graduate Kaylee Tarpley finished 13th out of 75 runners with a time of 21:15.99. Madeline Holt came in 18th place at 22:08.72.
In the men’s 8K competition, 2024 Ashville High graduate Ryan Matthews’ time of 27:48.79 placed him 17th out of 96 runners.
Also competing for the GSCC women were Alexis Renn (26th, 22:47.39), Riley Matthews (39th, 23:34.46) and McKinley Kay  (40th, 24:36.76).
Also participating for the GSCC men were DeShaun Foster (47th, 30:09.55), Lane Griffin (52nd, 31:18.27), Conner Strawn (54th, 31:26.58), Travis Cooley (63rd, 32:00.12), Jonah Medders (67th, 32:20.06) and Tyler Worley (79th, 34:11.95).
