Cattling breaks school record in Westbrook win

Karmichael Cattling became Westbrook Christian’s all-time rusher in the Warriors’ 41-13 victory over Locust Fork in Class 2A, Region 6 play on September 17.
Cattling (pictured above) finished with 130 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries.
Westbrook took the lead for good on Kinnedy Cranfield’s 1-yard touchdown run at 2:51 of the first quarter. Less than two minutes later, Cattling found the end zone from eight yards out, and his 22-yard scoring run at 8:14 od the second period made it 21-0.
Locust Fork pulled within eight points on Jonathan Burgett’s 75-yard TD run and Austin Pavolini’s fumble recovery in the end zone, but Westbrook responded with three straight touchdowns to put the game away. Mason Coley threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Hugh Windle with 41 seconds left in the third quarter, and Coley ran for touchdowns of 2 and 5 yards in the final quarter to secure the win.
Coley completed 8 of 12 passes for 104 yards and ran 13 times for 70 yards. Windle had four receptions for 58 yards.
Westbrook (2-2, 1-2) hosts Randolph this Friday (Sept. 23) in non-region action.
