This game could be very competitive, as both teams enter needing a victory and have good quarterbacks and good passing games.

“We’re still looking for our first win of the season and to get on the right track,” Conquerors coach Jason Touart said. “This game should come down to who wants it the most.”

In its first two games, Coosa shot itself in the foot with early turnovers.

“We’ve got to be more physical on the line and quit turning the ball over,” Touart said. “We haven’t put that together yet.”

Missed tackles is another problem area for the Conquerors. There have been too many big plays made by the competition.

“We’ve been concentrating on all of that this week,” Touart said. “We’ll be ready to play. I look forward to the challenge.”

Last week against Valley Head, Johnny Grizzard completed 10 of 14 passes for 162 yards and a touchdown.

Jace Mills had five receptions for 116 yards, while Wesley Grizzard and Caiden Lipscomb each caught two passes.

David Kim finished with 10 tackles, followed by Johnny Grizzard with nine, Mills with eight, Randy Washington, Jr., with seven and Lipscomb and Drake Burger with six each.
