Health issues have forced Coosa Christian head coach Jason Touart to step down, leaving assistants Taylor Johnstone and Justin Norton in charge of the program.

Another non-region game gives Coosa Christian a chance to improve before the region schedule hits its stride. Three region games in a row follow this week’s contest.

The Eagles have won four straight games and are in sole position of first place in the Class 1A, region 8 stan-dings.

Against West End last week, Johnny Grizzard completed 13-of-37 passes for 218 yards and two scores while adding another 72 yards and a touchdown on the ground.

Wesley Grizzard finished with nine catches for 205 yards, while David Kim and Emory Kitchens each had eight tackles.
