County volleyball tournament set for Saturday

The 2022 Etowah County Schools Volleyball Tournament will be held this Saturday, October 1 at Glencoe High School. The double elimination tournament begins at 9 a.m. with No. 3 seed and defending champion Southside facing No. 6 seed Gaston and No. 4seed West End playing No. 5 seed Hokes Bluff. At 10 a.m., No. 1 seed Sardis faces the West End/Hokes Bluff winner and No. 2 seed Glencoe plays the Southside/Gaston winner. The winners bracket semifinal is scheduled for 12 p.m. and the loser bracket semifinal is set for 1 p.m. The championship match is scheduled for 2 p.m. with a second finals match at 3 p.m. if necessary.
