Etowah wins; Sardis, Ashville come up short

Etowah cruised past Fultondale, 52-12, in Class 4A, Region 6 action on September 8.
The Blue Devils (3-1, 2-0) host region rival Good Hope this Friday (Sept. 16).

Sardis fell to Arab, 42-0, in the Lions’ Class 5A, Region 7 opener on September 9 in Sardis City.
For Sardis (1-2, 0-1), Blaze Gerhart was 4 for 8 in passing for 27 yards and rushed 11 times for 27 yards. Luke Martin had three receptions for 22 yards, while Levi Martin caught two passes for 22 yards.
The Lions host Crossville in region play this Friday (Sept. 16).

Ashville fell to Class 4A, Region 6 rival Hanceville, 22-13, on September 8. The Bulldogs (1-3, 0-2) have an open date this week before traveling to region rival Hayden on September 23.
