Gadsden State cagers earn postseason honors

Three Gadsden State student-athletes received recognition following the recent Alabama Community College Conference basketball tournament.
Freshman guard Kintavious Dozier (pictured above) was named to the men’s All-Region 22 second team and the All-North first-team after finishing the season with a team-high 21.5 points per game along with 4.8 rebounds and 2.2 steals. He also shot 73 percent from the free throw line and 31 percent from three-point range.
Sophomore guard Dee Guinn was selected to the All-Region 22 second team and the All-North first-team after averaging 13.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists. She was a 74 percent shooter at the foul line and a 38 percent shooter from the three-point line.
Sophomore forward Brittany Rivera-Freeman made the All-North women’s second team. She ended up with 14.3 points, 8.8 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.8 steals per game.
