Local team ranked in state volleyball poll

West End is ranked in the latest Birmingham News volleyball
poll released on Sept. 20.

With a 13-13 record. the Lady Patriots came in as the fifth
ranked team in Class 2A. Last week, West End defeated then-No. 5 and area rival
Sand Rock as well as Class 5A, No. 8 Boaz.

Southside (17-10) was nominated in Class 5A.
