Local youngsters compete in national track & field meet

The local More Than Runners track club competed in the USATF Junior Olympic Track and Field meet from July 26th to July 30 at Sacramento State University in Sacramento, Calif.
The club participated in the Alabama state meet in Selma and the Southeast Regional Meet in Baton Rouge, La., earlier this summer.
In Sacramento, JaKodie Bogle finished second in the boys 9/10 year-old javelin event; the 11/12 year-old girls 4×100 meter relay team of Tamayia Blount, Jordan Walker, Ajaney Tinker and Kenedy Wright finished 18th; Kenedy Wright finished 22nd in the girls 11/12 year-old 100-meter dash and 25th in the 200-meter dash; Ajaney Tinker finished in the top 30 in the girls 11/12 year-old 100-meter run; and Christopher Miller finished in the top 30 in the boys 11/12 year-old javelin and 100-meter run.
