Locals compete at GCHS Open No. 4

Ashville Taylor Knight won three individual events while Gadsden City’s Emani Morgan and Tanner Rice and Westbrook Christian’s Carl Henry each won two at the Gadsden City Open Meet No. 4 on March 245 at GCHS.
Knight finished first in the girls 800, 1600 and 3200-meter runs. She also was a member of the Lady Bulldogs’ first-place 4×800-meter relay team. Morgan was tops in the girls 100 and 200-mter dashes, while Rice took the gold in the boys 800 and 1600-mter runs. Rice was also a member of the GCHS first-p[lace 4×800-meter relay team. Henry won the boys shot put and discus events.
In addition, Ashville’s Lydia Northam set a school record in the girls high jump with an effort of 4-10.
