Locals make AHSAA all-state bowling teams

Several local high school bowlers recently postseason recognition.
Coaches from Alabama High School Athletic Association high schools released all-state teams for the first time since the sport was re-started in 2015-16 after being discontinued for 37 years.
Named to the Class 1A-5A boys all-state first team was Etowah’ Kaed Bradley (pictured above), who helped the Blue Devils win the program’s first-ever state championship this past January.
Selected to the 1A-5A girls first team were Southside’s Cora Clontz, Kiera Phillips and Keilsy Hull, who helped the Lady Panthers make it to the state se-mifinals.
Receiving all-state boys honorable mention recognition were Brandon Underwood and Garrett Gibbs from Etowah and Dalton Suther and Jordan Wood from Southside, which made the state semifinals.
