Panthers pounce past Lincoln

Southside kicked off Class 5A, Region 6 play with a 29-8 win over Lincoln on Sept. 8.
For the Panthers (2-1, 1-0), Mason Teague (pictured above) rushed for 181 yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries. Koal Garrett added 59 yards and a TD on 12 attempts.
Jordan Bryan was 4 for 5 in passing for 39 yards. Cayden McMichael caught all four passes for a 21.5-yard average.
Brayden Bowers led defensively with 13 tackles, followed by Tytan Rich with 10, Blake Phillips and Jevonte Strong with eight each, Cooper Horton with seven, Cameron Flowers with six and Brody with five. Horton had two sacks, while Bowers, Phillips, Flowers, Strong and Grant Golden all had one.
McCutcheon, Horton and Silas Osborne each had an interception.
Southside hosts Springville this Friday, Sept. 15, in region action.
