Panthers shine at Julie Diener 5K

Southside High’s Evan Christopher and Marlee Tucker won the men and women’s division, respectively, at the Julie Diener Benefit 5K on Aug. 26 in Rainbow City.
Christopher (pictured above) posted a time of 15:57, while Tucker clocked in at 22:27.
Other SHS runners finishing in the top 10 for the SHS boys cross country team were Max Valentine (2nd, 17:42), Tanner Griggs (3rd, 18:08), Matthew Battles (5th, 19:34) and Jackson Brown 6th, 20:16).
Following Tucker for the Southside girls cross country team were Adalyn Phillips (2nd, 23:29),
Mallory Tucker (3rd, 22:27) and Zoie Menk (4th, 24:00).
