With the score tied 14-14 midway through the second quarter, Pleasant Valley scored 20 unanswered points to hand the Patriots a 34-14 loss in Class 2A, Region 6 action on Sept. 8 in Jacksonville
Rock Sainsbury’s 1-yard touchdown run and Jace Golden’s PAT at 1:21 of the first quarter provided West End with a 7-6 lead.
The Red Raiders found the end zone early in the second period to go ahead 14-7 before Jaxon Hamby ran it in from 17 yards out with less than seven minutes remaining until halftime.
That turned out to be the highwater mark for the Patriots, as Pleasant Valley scored three consecutive touchdowns to win going away.

Kane Lawson had two receptions.
