Southside grad named to All-America team

2019 Southside High School graduate and Keiser (Fla.) University freshman Grace McClellan was recently named to the 2021 United Soccer Coaches NAIA Women’s All-America honorable mention team. As a goalkeeper for the NAIA Lady Hawks this past sea-son, McClellan allowed only 15 goals in 19 games with a 78 percent save percentage, allowing just .83 goals per game. McClellan finished with 52 saves and 11 shutouts and was 12-2 as a starter for a Keiser team that went 16-3 overall and 9-0 in conference play. The Lady Hawks made it to the semifinals of the NAIA quarterfinals. McClellan will be formally recognized at the All-America Ceremony and Reception on January 22 in Kansas City.
