Southside sweeps Oxford in area soccer action

John Doster and Camren Thompson each scored two goals in Southside’ 7-1 win over Class 6A, Area 13 rival Oxford last Tuesday (April 18) at Barney Hood Stadium. Said Toumiba, Cale Bowling and Brandon Ayala each added a goal for the No. 9 ranked Panthers (11-5-2, 5-1). Jordi Forloni distributed three assists, while Thompson and Doster both had two. Jake Bell had six saves in goal, while Hayes Cosby had two.

Alana Morton (pictured above at right) notched a hat trick in Southside 5-0 victory over Oxford in Class 6A, Area 13 action last Tuesday (April 18) at Barney Hood Stadium. Ziniah Hardy and Lillie Welch each added a goal for the second-ranked Lady Panthers (15-3-2), while Madison Ashley had an assist. Anna Kate Welch had three saves in goal, while Hannah Maddox had two.
