Southside wins Titan Bash tournament

The Southside High School boys soccer team posted a 1-0 victory over Gadsden City in Titan Bash Tournament championship game on March 5 at GCHS. Jordi Forloni scored off an assist from Caleb Ogle to secure the win. Jake Bell had had nine saves in goal.
The Class 6A No. 8 Panthers opened the tournament with a 7-1 win over Mortimer Jordan. Abdullah Alabbasi and John Doster each had three goals and two assists, Brandon Ayala had one goal, Ariq Chandra had one assist and Jake Bell made six saves.
Southside then defeated Hartselle, 6-1. Doster had two goals and an assist, Alabbasi and Ayala each had a goal and an assist, Said Toumiba and Forloni each had a goal and Parker Cunningham had an assist. Bell made five saves, while Hayes Cosby had three.
