Gadsden City fell to Hewitt-Trussville, 42-27, on Sept. 1 at GCHS. For the Titans (1-1), T.J. Worthy rushed for 168 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries, Luke Waldrop was 7 for 15 in passing for 77 yards and Matthew Sparks had three receptions for 98 yards. Chris Butler finished with 11 tackles.
Gadsden City opens Class 6A Region 8 play this Friday (Sept. 8) at Buckhorn.
