Westbrook, Glencoe post wins at local tri-match

Westbrook Christian defeated Area 12 rival Glencoe, 25-23, 23-25, 26-24 and Sardis, 25-20, 20-25, 15-13 in a tri-match on Tuesday, Oct. 1 in Rainbow City. Glencoe also beat Sardis, 25-18, 20-25, 15-11.
For the Class 3A No. 4 Lady Warriors (33-4, 3-3), Ellison Stewart had 25 kills, followed by Marley Cox with 17, Addi Hammontree with 11 and Landri Lipscomb (pictured above at center) with seven. Raylee Neal distributed 54 assists.
Raylee Neal and Cate Windle both served up four aces, while Stewart, Lipscomb and Cox each had two.
Kylee Wyatt came up with 28 digs, followed by Raylee Neal with 24, Cox with 16, Stewart with 13, Elyse Neal with nine, Windle with eight and Lipscomb and Hammontree with seven each.
For the Lady Yellow Jackets (20-13, 4-1), Evelyn Nowak had 22 kills, followed by Mia Talbot with 13, Millie Chambless with 11, Alli Jo Amos with eight, Ashlyn Stone with seven and Avery Barkley and Sadie Waldrop with three each. Chambless also had two blocks.
Kinlee Montgomery dealt out 28 assists, while Barkley had 21. Payton Gray and Kaelyn Hollis had five and three service aces, respectively.
Hollis came up with 31 digs, followed by Nowak, Talbot and Gray with 12 each, Barkley with 11, Gracyn Bunt with 10, Amos and Montgomery with eight each and Stone with five.
