Westbrook goes 3-2 at Champions Tournament

Westbrook Christian went 3-2 at the Champions Tournament last Saturday (Sept. 9) in Guntersville. The Class 3A No. 8 Lady Warriors (12-6) defeated St. Clair County, 25-11, 25-19; Jacksonville, 25-15, 17-25, 15-5 and Sand Rock 25-18, 26-24. Westbrook lost to Oxford, 22-25, 12-15 and Ohatchee, 16-25, 14-25. For the tournament for the Lady Warriors, Raegan Harrell had 37 kills, followed by Landri Lipscomb with 17, Ellison Stewart with 12, Marley Cox with nine and Raylee Neal with six. Neal also distributed 64 assists. Henley Beddingfield served up eight aces, followed by Neal with seven, Stewart and Cox with five each and Harrell with three.
Cox, Beddingfield and Kylee Wyatt each came up with 20 digs, followed by Lipscomb with 16, Neal with 14 and Harrell with 10.
Lipscomb had 10 blocks, followed by Caroline Taylor with seven and Harrell and Cox with four each.
