Westbrook’s Windle to play in North/South baseball game

Westbrook Christian rising senior Hugh Windle was recently selected to participate in the 2022 North/South Baseball All-Star baseball game in July in Montgomery.
Windle (pictured above), who was named to the team as a shortstop, helped the Warriors (16-18) win the program’s 15th straight area championship and qualify for the Class 2A state quarterfinals. At the plate, he batted .287 with 28 hits (including five doubles and four triples), 28 runs, 19 RBI and 20 steals with only 11 strikeouts. On defense, He finished with a .901 fielding percentage. In 70.1 innings on the mound, Windle went 8-3 with a 1.194 earned run average and 112 strikeouts. He held opposing hitters to a .187 average.
North coaches are Piedmont’s Matt Deerman and Boaz ‘s Adam Keenum.
