Yellow Jackets, Bulldogs come up short

Glencoe closed out its Class 3A, Region 7 schedule with a 48-6 loss to No. 7 Ohatchee last Friday (Oct. 27).
The Yellow Jackets’ lone score came on Jakob Amberson’s six-yard touchdown pass to Daniel Mayo.
Amberson was 4 for 9 in passing for 79 yards. Cade Alred gained 49 yards on 10 rushes. Kaleb Pentecost had nine tackles, followed by Bradley Scott with eight.
Glencoe (2-7, 0-6) closes out its season this week at home against Southside.

Gaston ended its season with a 56-0 loss to Fyffe in Class 2A, Region 6 action last Friday (Oct. 27). The Bulldogs ended the year at 1-9, 1-6.
