Led by Dylan’s Stone standout rushing effort, Glencoe remained undefeated on Friday with a 42-12 victory over Class 3A, Region 6 foe Ohatchee.

The game was halted a halftime due to weather conditions.

On just eight carries, Stone ran for 217 yards and four touchdowns. 

After the Indians scored on their first possession, the Yellow Jackets (7-0, 5-0) scored 42 straight points. 

Stone got the visitors in the scoreboard with 64-yard touchdown at 7:55 of the first quarter, a score that was followed by the first of six extra points by Joseph Bright. 

Just 24 seconds later, Stone found the end zone from 22 yards out for a 14-6 advantage.

Stone’s 24-yard TD run at 2:25 of the opening period made it 21-6, and a 15-yard scoring run from Thomas Ozmint provided Glencoe with a 28-6 lead after just 12 minutes of play.

Stone’s fourth touchdown, a 59-yard scamper at 10:50 of the second quarter, extended the Jacket lead to 29 points, while Taylor Daugherty’s 7-yard TD run with five minutes remaining in the half closed out the scoring. 

Glencoe finished with 370 offensive yards, all on the ground, while holding Ohatchee to 186.

Ozmint finished with 146 rushing yards on 12 carries.

Mason Brown led in tackles with eight, followed by Daugherty with seven and Chance Duncan with six. Brown also had an interception.

Glencoe continues region play on Friday with a home game against Weaver.
