Sington receives Spirit of Citizenship Award

Fred Sington Jr. occupied a sort of hot seat of honor Tuesday evening, as he was presented with the 2012 Spirit of Citizenship Award at a banquet and roast at the Senior Activity Center.
It’s not Sington’s first honor.

Conquerors fall to Collinsville
Coosa Christian opened its football season with a 38-13 Class 1A, Region 7 loss to Collinsville last Thursday (Aug. 30).
Austin Mills scored a pair of touchdowns for the visiting Conquerors (0-1, 0-1).
Coosa hosts Donoho on Friday (Sept. 7) in more region action.
