Gaston’s Collins signs with Faulkner

Braxton Collins is leaving Shinbone Ridge for the Capitol City.

On Mar. 20, the Gaston High School senior signed a letter of intent to play football at Faulkner University in Montgomery.

A four-year starter at running back and linebacker, Collins this season rushed for a team-high 1,010 yards and 13 touchdowns while racking up 111 tackles.

Florida Gators defeated Kentucky, 61-60, in the SEC Tournament championship game last Sunday (Mar. 16) in Atlanta at the Georgia Dome. Florida head coach Billy Donovan captured his fourth tournament championship, his first since 2007. Including the regular season, Florida finished 21-0 in the SEC.
